Two dead, several injured in southwestern Germany motorway crash

BERLIN, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) — Two people were killed, and several were injured in a serious traffic accident on the Autobahn 5 motorway near Bruchsal, Karlsruhe district, southwestern Germany on Monday, according to the German news agency dpa.
Authorities confirmed that five cars and three trucks were involved in the accident early Monday morning. Investigators have been unable to confirm the number of people injured.
The Autobahn 5 had to be completely closed in the direction of Heidelberg (north) for clean-up work and to determine the cause of the accident. ■
